Sapphires
A gemstone which belongs to the corundum family, it is tough and durable with a hardness of 9, and therefore perfect for engagement rings and wedding bands. It is the birthstone for September. It is also the suggested gift for 45th and 65th anniversaries. Ivy&I sources all Sapphires from Australian suppliers.
Aquamarine
Aquamarine’s name comes from the Latin for seawater and it was said to calm waves and keep sailors safe at sea. March’s birthstone is a versatile stone and it's stunning, clear blue colour looks amazing with both silver and gold.
topaz
Blue Topaz, December's birthstone, is a very popular gemstone. As it is a more inexpensive stone, large cuts are perfect to make big, bold statement pieces.
Opals
There are three different types of Opals – White Opals, Black Opals from Lightning Ridge (although they are not only black in colour) and Boulder Opals from Queensland. Claudi loves to work with Opal, it is one of her favourite gemstones and incredibly unique.
BLUE SPINEL
Blue Spinel is a very special gemstone because it is one of the few that occur naturally, which means that every Spinel is completely natural and free from any modifications. It is also known for its range of colours and durability.
